Haute Route Zermatt-Chamonix. Intermediate Stop at the Kurhaus Hotel in Arolla (Valais, Switzerland)

Typical itinerary (many variants are possible)
Start is in Chamonix or Argentieres by using lifts of Vallee Blanche or of the Grands Montets. Then col du Chardonnet, Fenetre de Saleinaz, Trient Hut. Then the Trient Glacier, the pass of the Ecandies and the Val d’Arpette and Champex. After that, Verbier, the Montfort Hut, the La Chaux pass, the Rosablanche, the Dix lake, the Cheillon Glacier and the Dix hut. Then climb the Tsena Refien glacier and the Serpentine to the Pigne of Arolla (3796 m), the Vignettes hut or go down to the Arolla village. After that the Eveque, downhill on the Arolla Haut Glacier and climb to the Bertol hut, the summit of Tete Blanche, downhill on the Tiefmatten glacier and Zermatt.
The reverse direction is also possible.
